Artist Statement

Helen Dewhurst (b 1979 London) is an artist, whose work engages with the public and community and includes sculpture, installation, sound, photography, performance and experiential live encounters.  Her projects create space for reflection on societal issues and often relate to themes of climate, migration, social justice and place.

Exploring themes around the physical, social and psychological experiences of the body, her interdisciplinary, collaborative work, investigates the experiential interplay between the human body, technology and environment.

Often using playful interaction to generate new ways of experiencing and engaging creative agency for audiences, she works with communities to bring people together through collective experience.
